5th Sunday of Easter Year B
First Reading:-Acts 9.26-31
The first followers of Christ were very enthusiastic in their teaching of the word, spreading the word to considerable distances.
Second Reading:-1 John 3.18-24
The two commandments given by Jesus are to love god and to love the neighbour. The death of Jesus as a sacrifice for us, should encourage us to love God and to love each other for his sake.
Gospel Reading:-John 15.1-8
Jesus refers to himself as the vine with us as his branches, we will remain strong and fruitful as long as we are part of the vine. As we remain part of the Christian family.
Third Sunday of Easter Year B
First Reading: Acts 3. 13-15; 17-19
The first reading talks of the rejection of Christ, repentance and conversion, the determination to do better in the future.
Second Reading: 1 John 2. 1-5
The second reading talks about how Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father (God) anyone who wants to follow him must keep his commandments.
Gospel Reading: Luke 24.35-48
The Gospel talks of Jesus meeting the disciples and how afraid they were thinking they had seen a ghost until he shows them his hands and then eats a piece of fish to show he is a living breathing person not an apparition.
4th Sunday of Easter year B
Readings
First Reading:-Acts 4.8-12
St. Paul was filled with the holy spirit and preformed good deeds in the name of Christ, the stone the builders rejected.
Second Reading:-1 John 3.1-2
St.John mentions Christian love, we all have been raised to the knowledge that we are children of God. If we have hope based on Christ we will be as pure as him.
Gospel:-John 10.11-18
The good shepherd is prepared to lay down his/her life for the sheep.
2nd Sunday of Easter 2012 year B

2nd reading 1 John 5.1-6
Gospel John 20.19-31
The readings this Sunday are about love and sharing, loving in a Christian way with respect, devotion, obedience to God the father. The Gospel talks of peace and forgiveness, we are not perfect and therefore should be prepared to forgive others in an imperfect world.
