Alpha CoursesThis course was designed to give people a chance to think about and learn about the Cristian faaith. It started in the U.K. and is now worldwide. It gives people who are not Catholics and who are interested, an opportunity to consider what becoming a Catholic involves. However it is very popular with people who want to look again at their beliefs - to understand them better. A course will be run in 2010. If you are interested contace Fr Joe Coyne or one of the neighbouring parishes.
MeditationA small group of people meet at 8p.m. every Wednesday in the Presbytery in Blakestown for a period of Meditation (Following John Main's manner). All are welcome
Eucharistic Congress 2012At all Masses on the weekend of the 13-14 June the usual Share collection will be replaced by a special appeal to support the Eucharistic Congress to be held in Ireland in 2012. This will be an annual appeal and all are asked to be as generous as possible. Year for PriestsPope Benedict has declared a 'Year for Priests' beginning on the 19th June. Your prayers are requested for priests and for vocations to the priesthood. The year marks the 150th anniversary of the death of St John Vianney, who will be declared patron saint of all priests during this year.
