The Fith Sunday

Readings: Isa 6:1-2, 3-8; Cor 15:1-11; Lk 5:1-11

  1. We have to be willing to meet people and to befriend them. A smile or a simple 'hello' is where it begins. Being friendly and pleasant with people is more important than we may believe.
  2. Learning to relate to people means that a confidence can be established leading to a sharing of faith.
  3. Telling people what your faith means to you can be a powerful testemony in this year of evangilisation.
  4. Jesus message is in the Gosple. get a copy of one of the Gospels if you do not already have one.
  5. Accepting Christ in a full and complete way, requires prayer and repentance.
  6. People need ongoing support, to help their faith to grow.
  7. The local church may be asked to accept the responsibility for the continuing growth of the new Christian. In the Catholic tradition the sacramental life of the church will foster growth in holiness.

Support may come from the most unextected sourse, I had a dream this morning about a departed relative who passed on last year, she gave me a hug, I could feel her holding me and her chin putting preasure on my left shoulder. It was hard for me to think that it was a dream, I felt a great sense of being healed.
