Twenty First Sunday

"Readings: Isa 66:18-21; Heb 12:5-7, 11-13; LK 13:22-23

'Armchair Christianity' is hardly a guarantee of salvation.

In the words of Christ 'Strive to enter through the narrow gate.'... The word for striving is the word from which the English word agony is derived."

From Sundaythoughts.com Martin Tierney

It is easy to want to follow the example of the ostrich and bury the head in the sand, it is more difficult to stand up and be counted. I always remind myself of the sentence "Oh that today you would listen to his voice and harden not your hearts." It keeps me going when I feel like hiding.
